The client approached FATbit with an aim to launch an e-commerce platform in the least time possible.
Keeping in mind the minimum approach of the client towards time-to-launch, FATbit Technologies developed an off-the-shelf website, customizing their solution (Growcer) based on requirements shared.
Through this client-filled questionnaire, we want to take you through the thoughts and feedback for the Growcer and FATbit support team, while we aligned with the vision shared to launch an e-commerce platform catering to the south-west market, USA.
Our company is a small local grocery market that specializes in ethnic foods.
For what projects/services did your company hire FATbit Technologies and bought its product Growcer?
We needed a website up and running quickly through which our customers can buy and sell products.
Our main goals were to have a fully functional website, to be launched fairly quickly. We were on a tight budget also, so requested for a templatized way to get a website that we could customize at our end.
Through Google search results, we got to investigating products and services that were offering a COTS grocery website solution. This is how we came across Growcer from FATbit technologies.
The Growcer team provided us with the website template and helped us customize it by closely working with us and reviewing our requirements, providing excellent support throughout.
Even through the COVID-19 pandemic, the team was there to support us with the process. They dealt with feature creep for a very reasonable cost and quickly implemented the changes we needed.
The project team had only a few people but brought in other support experts as needed. They did a great job communicating status throughout and checking back with us if anything was needed.
Having an online site was critical in resuming business during the COVID-19 quarantine. Throughout the process, FATbit Technologies prevented feature creep to keep the costs within budget.
The team excelled at answering our queries and questions. However the processes seemed to be more streamlined, and the communication with the team would benefit with a thorough documentation.
During the pandemic, it became critical that customers were able to interact with us online. Without this online connectivity, it would’ve cost us a whole lot more in both money and time to get where we needed to be.
Team Growcer from FATbit used their in-house developed project management software, BIZixx to keep track of all progress on the project. Along with this regular connect via emails was maintained to check-in with us for any requirements and approvals.
We felt the whole process was highly effective and helped us all coordinate efficiently to stay on the same level.
Aditya and the team were really responsive to their software development tasks, and worked really hard to meet our deadlines, which were aggressive.
My suggestions would be to be more thorough with their documentation for the end-user, developers, and admins. The developers and team there did a great job answering questions, but they need to improve documentation so we don’t need to ask as many questions in the first place.
